The Inspire dress by {Spright}

Last week I bought two versions of the new release by {Spright} at Cultureshock , the inspire dress. A lovely summerdress, mesh of course!. When trying them on at home I notice the textures would not load at all. Waited a bit, got coffee….but after 15 mins nothing…both dresses stayed all blurry! I teleported to sandboxes, other sims, relogged a couple of times, alas: two blurry dresses! Really strange as I have never had that before, usually textures eventually rezz.
At the same time I was having some other issues, voice not working, failing tp and inventory that takes forever to load, so I uninstalled my viewer and did a clean install.

Tried on the dresses again and gah……still this:

I gave up! All my other clothes rezz just fine, but not these two.

Then this morning I logged in, to find this message in my inbox from Anyalia, the creator of the dresses:

[20:45] Anyalia Pearl: Hello :) I’m sending you an updated version of the {Spright} Inspire Dress(es).
There was a bug that affected the textures on the dresses causing them to not load properly. I’d attempted to send corrected versions of this dress prior to
but I was wrong in thinking the problem was resolved then.
If you have any questions, or if for some reason SL eats the folder I send, please feel free to let me know. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! :)

Now, how about that! I was delighted to 1) find out it was nothing with my viewer or PC..and 2) great customer service, I never thought about asking the creator!

All happy I tried them on and yeaah…look at me now!

Miamai has a wonderful new bridal collection, including some mesh-gowns you can easily wear for a night out!

I fell for ‘Caroline’ in green, not quite a weddingdress, but a lovely gown I am sure I will wear the next time we go out dancing. For now..I just played in the waters of Humanoid, with my diamonds(incl poses) from Glitterati.

I mean…I was exploring a bit today, been to the ‘big’places that are in Destination Guide or otherwise popular and had a good time. Then suddenly, via all kind of tp’s and LM’s I was in Auggers Gallery – where they have some nice collections of SL pics on display by various photographers. I looked around a bit and then stepped outside to see what else there was.

A small, but beautiful garden at see. I sat down and zoomed around and found it delightful! Nothing huge, nothing big…maybe not even special. But special enough to notice the lovely details and special enough to take the time to appreciate it!

In between the madness at work, I luckily still find time for Second Life! I have been shopping a lot lately, nothing better after a long day than some good old fashioned retail therapy eh!

I love everything mesh. Clothes, hair, nails..you name it. Today I ran around in a very basic outfit and ended up on one of the deserted little islands on Bora Bora. Looking at my avatar I realised I am all meshed up, even though it seem she is not wearing much!

A Year In The Life Of An Avatar

Ah, no..this is not about a year of Caitlin, but it is the title of the latest art exhibition of Fuschia Nightfire at the Avatar Charitable Trust!

About the exhibition, text as given to me by Lillie Radek, one of the organisors:
‘Fuschia changes her avatar in SL more often than she changes her clothes in RL. She usually has a pinkish theme and most things she wears would get her an instant ban from Bogarts as she rarely looks completely human

At the beginning of 2011 she decided to start a project, documenting the changing look of her avatar, which also became a diary of sorts showing some of the places she visited and many of her shows and exhibitions throughout the year.”.

And that is what you will see, hundreds of pics of Fuschia! It is cooler than it sounds, really! Well, that ..and I have a personal weak spot for Fuschia, who I have gotten to know as a friendly and lovely lady in the past 4 years :)

When I was visiting the latest art installion on MIC – Papermakis: Escape to Rome, by Romy Nayar, I suddenly got the urge to change into my Doll Coco and make pretty pics! So yeah….I will blog about the Papermakis soon, because it is a lovely exhibition! For now, my Doll is the star!

It is, with a heavy heart and after some sleepless nights that I now have to announce the following decision I had to make.

Flower Power

On one of my shopping-trips, not really looking for something in particular, I ended up in the mainstore of Utopia. They have a superb collection of eveningdresses/gowns from classic to (very) sexy – in not so average styles and colours. Needless to say I did indeed get myself two dresses, for dancing :) but one other dress caught my eye…The Lia Sage.

It is not so much a dress I would wear on an evening out, but it is just so lovely with the flower details and the transparent parts…I just had to have it, if only for those moments I feel like I need to surround myself with flowers and make pretty pictures!
