Red Shoes at MIC

“Red Shoes” is an impressive art exhibition on MIC – Imagin@rium, featuring……red shoes and is made possible in collaboration with Il Murgutta Art Gallery.

As the information notecard says : ‘Elaborating on the idea of the Mexican artist Elina Chauvet, who in 2009 exhibited his first installation “Zapatos Rojos” in Ciudad Juárez, which later became “viral” around the world, 25 metaverse’s artists have each created a work around a pair of red shoes.’ This particular installation has become welknown as a supporting message to create awareness and fight against violence on women

No less than 25 artists created original installations, all displayed in the waters of MIC, each with as centerpiece in  a pair of red shoes – made by Rumegusc Altamura.  There is thought behind all this,  machinima’s made by the exhibitors will be shown during the opening of ‘Women in Rock & Red Shoes’, in real life Margutta on December 10th.
