So I just got this email from Linden Lab, informing me that Avatars United will be closed at 29 September….
Somehow I feel bad about it, I always enjoyed the site and it gave me the opportunity to keep in contact with people when I am not able to get inworld…Also, we had a (modest) grouppage for ImperiuM on AU, where we stored our trainingnotes and other announcements as a kind of archive in a forum.
No, we did not use it heavily, but it was there and personally I will feel it as a loss.
The coming days I will make sure to save all photo’s and notes I have stored there, some of them are pretty unique after a harddisk-crash, so that will keep me busy this weekend :(.
