The September Hit Parade: Ghosts, Books & Booze

Bye bye September. The month when everyone claims to be “so ready for fall” while still secretly sweating in their autumn knitwear. But never mind that, on my blog, things were far more mysterious, haunted, and, surprise: mildly alcoholic.

Let’s take a look at the Top 3 Most Read Posts from September, which, frankly, tells me more about you lot than about me.

🥇 1. Scream Together, Stay Together: Second Life’s Spookiest Date Ideas

By far the most-read post of the month. And still! Apparently, nothing brings readers running faster than the promise of haunted houses and relationship advice from someone who got lost in a ghost maze with Huck. The conclusion? You people love a little digital terror mixed with romantic peril. Therapy bills, optional.

🥈 2. A Rainy-Day Escape: My Visit to The Eldritch Archives

Coming in close behind: an elegant library filled with actual, readable books! Yes, some of you still love to read things longer than a landmark to a shopping event. It’s cosy, atmospheric, and blissfully ghost-free,  proving that sometimes, all you need for a perfect adventure in Second Life is a good story, a storm outside, and the satisfaction of not being chased by anything undead.

🥉 3. La Fée Verte: Green Dreams on Ice

And in third place, the absinthe salon where decadence meets frostbite. A snowy island, a dash of bohemian flair, and drinks so strong they could melt the region’s LI count. Clearly, some of you read this and thought, “Yes, what I need in my Second Life is to hallucinate tastefully.”

What I’ve learned from this:
My readers are a fascinating mix of the morbidly romantic, the literarily inclined, and the charmingly intoxicated. Basically: the perfect crowd. ❤️

And as for where you all came from: Facebook, X, Bluesky, Primfeed, the occasional wanderer from the Second Life Community Blogfeed, and even a few curious visitors from ChatGPT. I see you, mysterious algorithms and adventurous clickers.

So thank you, spooky bookish bohemians of Second Life, for making September such a delight. October’s already shaping up to be even more dramatic, and possibly more haunted.

Oh, and speaking of haunted: since you liked the review of the spooky date ideas, here is part 2 !

Don’t just lurk, comment!
