My Responsible Visit to the Pour Up Winery & Vineyard

Some people go to Second Life for fashion, some for roleplay, some for deep emotional connections forged at 3 am in a hot tub.

I go for wine.

So when I heard about Pour Up Winery & Vineyard, a place that boldly promises free wine, scenery, and zero judgment, I did what any sensible adult would do: I teleported immediately with the enthusiasm of someone who has absolutely no follow-up plans for the rest of the day.

Welcome to Heaven

Pour Up Winery & Vineyard has been around since 2021, which means they’ve had years to perfect the art of enabling Second Life residents, and it shows. The moment I arrived, I knew I was in the right place. Snow-dusted scenery, vineyards, and an atmosphere that whispered softly: “It’s wine  o’clock somewhere. Possibly everywhere.”

Was it winter when I visited? Yes.
Did I care? Absolutely not.
Because FREE WINE.

And sangria. And probably several other beverages that magically refill themselves if you look at them with enough intent.

I Am Not Picky, I Am Enlightened

I want to be very clear about something: I am not a wine snob. I am an equal-opportunity drinker. Boxed wine? Love it. Red, white, rosé? Yes. Something pink that may or may not technically qualify as wine? Pour it.

So when I realized that Pour Up operates on a self-serve model, I experienced what I can only describe as spiritual clarity. No awkward small talk with bartenders. No shame. No limits. Just me, a glass, and a vineyard that fully supports my life choices.

This is a MyStory-enabled roleplay destination, which means you can roleplay sophisticated wine tasting…
…but you can also roleplay someone who accidentally started day drinking and never emotionally recovered.

Both are valid.

Scenic Views, Questionable Decisions

The region itself is genuinely lovely. Snow-covered paths, charming buildings, cozy lounge areas, and seating that clearly understands its audience. There are sofas. COMFY sofas. The kind that say, “Go ahead, stay a while. Have another.”

There are also snacks, which is frankly an act of public service. Because everyone knows you should never drink on an empty stomach. That’s just science. Or common sense. Or something a concerned friend once said.

Between sips, you can wander around, admire the scenery, and feel very cultured while holding a glass that may or may not be your fourth.

Horseback Riding, But Make It Questionable

Yes, you can tour the region on horseback.
Yes, you can do this with or without drinking.
And no, nobody judges you either way.

This is a judgment-free zone. You want to sip wine and ride majestically through the vineyard like you’re in a romance movie? Go for it. You want to dismount immediately and sit down because maybe the wine was stronger than expected? Also fine.

Pour Up Winery understands that Second Life is about freedom. Especially the freedom to make somewhat poor but extremely enjoyable decisions.

Date Night, Live Music, and Other Dangerous Ideas

Pour Up Winery & Vineyard also hosts live music events, paint-and-sip sessions, and is clearly designed for romantic date nights.

Nothing says romance like:

  • Soft music
  • Gorgeous scenery
  • And both of you being slightly more charming than usual due to the wine

Honestly, it’s the perfect setting to fall in love, renew vows, or loudly declare that this is the best winery you’ve ever visited while holding a glass of something red or white. Or rosé.

I Regret Nothing

Pour Up Winery & Vineyard is exactly what it promises: a beautiful, relaxed, wine-filled escape where you can explore, lounge, sip, and vibe at your own pace. It’s scenic, cozy, playful, and fully committed to the idea that Second Life should be fun first and responsible… eventually.

Would I go back? Absolutely.
Would I recommend it? Without hesitation.
Would I pretend I’m only going for the scenery? Probably.

If you love wine, lounging, pretty regions, and the comforting knowledge that nobody is counting how many glasses you’ve had, this place is for you.

Cheers to free wine, zero judgment, and vineyards that truly understand me. 🍷
