Katana fighting does not mean I am into to Asian culture, or dress up like a wannabee Ninja or Samurai. I always found it silly to do so, as I am (not only in RL) very Western. Of course, when you are a roleplayer, it’s a different story, but I am not.

Every now and then I get invitations for Oriental events, sometimes from other clans, and sometimes via some girls I know who are into the Geisha-Performances. For those occasions, I have bought a Kimono. Or I think the correct term is Mai-Hime (see how little I know about it!!).

I have searched a long time, before I found one that suited me! There are lots of Kimono-stores and the choice is enormous!

My Mai-Hime is from a lovely store: Rabbit Kiss, by Umi Usagi. They don’t only sell Kimono’s but also a variety in other clothing, underwear, costumes…a lot! Cartoon-like (Anime I think) dresses with funny details, worth a visit!

My Mai-Hime is, well I like to think so, lovely detailed and does not look like the average Oriental outfit. I still feel all western in this :).
