The 3 Most Read Posts of October: Ghosts, Geeks, and Coffee

Every now and then (read: daily), I like to peek at my blog stats,  mostly for myself, so I know what kind of posts you lovely people actually enjoy (and which ones only my dogs read). It’s a bit of a tradition now: a mix of curiosity and genuine surprise at what catches your attention.

October was fun, scary and interesting! You lot have spoken with your clicks, scrolls, and suspiciously long reading times (yes, I see you), and I’m equal parts flattered, confused, and slightly concerned.

So, what did everyone enjoy most last month?

🥇 1. Haunted Second Life Date Night Guide, Part 2

Of course, this one topped the charts. It was October, pumpkins were everywhere, and Huckleberry Hax and I bravely waded through a swamp of skeletons, zombies, and way too much blood, all in the name of finding sweet date night ideas for you. Because nothing says love quite like a haunted maze where something screams in your ear every five seconds.

Apparently, you all enjoy watching us suffer. Noted.

🥈 2. A Tie! The Museum of Computing History and The Christmas Survival Guide

Now, I’m not sure what to make of this. Half of you clearly have a deep affection for vintage motherboards and nostalgia, while the other half is already panicking about Christmas before we even hit November.

The Museum post had me wondering: are my readers nerds, geeks, or just feeling sorry for Huck and his endless patience while I drag him around?

And the Christmas post, well, I guess we all need advice to survive the festive madness in Second Life. It’s never too early to start dodging virtual fruitcake.

🥉 3. Café Hopping Across Second Life

Because after haunted houses and holiday panic, we all needed coffee. Lots of it.
This post proved that caffeine addiction is universal. We may live in a virtual world, but our collective love for a good latte (and photogenic café décor) remains very, very real.

🌍 Where Are You All Reading From?

Most of October’s readers came from the USA, followed closely by the Netherlands (hoi hoi!) and the UK, which feels about right: ghosts, politeness, and direct opinions about coffee.

Thank you all for reading, commenting, sharing, and occasionally rolling your eyes at me. I’ll try to make November just as delightfully weird!

Don’t just lurk, comment!
