Back in 2007, when I was a hostess in the Amsterdam Poker Palace…one of the rules was: hostesses had to wear formal evening dresses at work.

I started out in a freebie-gown, being all new, and from my first payment (we got paid per week, based on hours worked…) the first thing I did was going to Blaze and get me one of those lovely, real fancy, evening dresses. Blaze was, at that time, considered one of the best stores in SL for formal attire, and they were certainly not cheap! I spent my first week’s payment on a purple dress, called “Lush”.

Over the years I have given away lots of my clothes, to keep my inventory a bit clean and because I made newbies happy with nice clothes I did not wear anymore. I had lots of Blaze’s dresses at some point, but my first one..the sexy purple Lush, I always kept.

Tonight, when going through my inventory I found it again and for nostalgic reasons I tried it on. Of course it still fits and to be honest, even after 4 years it is still not a bad dress! Admitting, it has the awful systemskirt that makes your ass look huge, but overall it is still nice and I will probably keep it forever. If only because of the fond memories of that crazy times we had in the casino!

Blaze still exists, I went to check it out. They still have the same dresses and tuxedo’s, I was a bit disappointed about that. My ‘Lush Dress’ is however no longer available, but there a ‘Lush 2’….Aww…(nope, I did not buy it!)
