Second Life is 20 years old this month and will be celebrating with its annual birthday bash, SL20B, from today, 22 June, to 12 July. Its theme this year is ‘Our Fantastic Future.’ As a science fiction writer and movie maker, I couldn’t really resist a title like that.

WAARHEID: TRUTH IS A DESTINATION is a brand new exhibition built for the event. I didn’t want to just re-rez the exhibition I ran over Christmas and instead started from scratch to create a bespoke minimalist installation of concrete and light, an experiment in spatial immersion.

Be sure to set your environment to shared (or midnight) when you enter, and for the full effect wear some headphones too.

For novelty value, the building features a huge (scannable) concrete QR code on the exterior and also an even larger graffiti painting of Waarheid herself.
