Sometimes, you stumble into a place that makes you question the seriousness of your virtual existence. A-Maze-Ing by Cica Ghost is one of those places. Imagine a gigantic maze, painted with murals, quirky animals, and funny little houses, and suddenly you’re no longer an adult with responsibilities, but a cartoon character trying to outsmart life’s big labyrinth.
”At some point we all look up and realise we are lost in a maze.” – John Green (from the land information)

The Maze That Doesn’t Maze
In Second Life, calling it a “maze” is generous. Yes, there are walls. Yes, there’s a path. But this is Second Life, and the real superpower here isn’t “problem-solving skills”, it’s “camera zoom-out.” With a bit of camming, you can see the entire layout like a god looking down on tiny mortals. Still, pretending to be lost is part of the charm, so shuffle around the corners dramatically. Extra points if you type /me sighs, utterly lost in confusion in local chat.

Art Attack
Cica’s murals are whimsical in the best way, think doodles come to life after three espressos. And there are the quirky animals, giving you that slight “Alice in Wonderland meets doodle notebook” feel. Snails, elephants, and creatures that defy biology all cheerfully stare at you like they know exactly how many times you’ve redecorated your Linden Home.

Tiny Homes, Big Personality
At the side of the maze are delightful little houses that look like they were built by gnomes with questionable building permits. And you will find furniture. Sit on a chair and suddenly you’re in a pose that makes you wonder if your avatar is practising for Cirque du Soleil. Clearly, these are not your standard PG dining chair animations.

Set Your Environment to “Whimsy”
Do yourself a favour and switch to the recommended region environment. Without it, you’re just walking through a nicely textured maze. With it, you’re inside a moving painting. The ground texture alone is worth the trip; it’s so beautifully detailed, you’ll want to zoom in and lick your screen (maybe don’t actually do that).

A-Maze-Ing isn’t about getting lost, it’s about letting go. It’s a playground where you’re meant to wander, giggle at the animals, and take screenshots that make your friends ask, “What on earth are you doing this time?” And honestly, isn’t that exactly what we all need sometimes?
So go get lost. Or don’t. Either way, you’ll end up smiling.
