Wut? Hey…you?

With the introduction of display-names in Viewer 2, people can now change their name into something more suitable to their liking. Caitlin has done this too, her name will show as Caitlin “Caity” Tobias for those who have display-names enabled. People call her Caity, which is fine!

Now, last night I was looking at my friends list,  and saw a name I did not recognize immediately. Well not even after 10 minutes, but once in world I soon discovered who it was. All fine and nice, this personal freedom but how the heck am I supposed to call this person? Is it a language? If so, what?

Eh...

lol, yes, that one’s a puzzle indeed! “hey, you” would be my approach as well LOL

personally i’m not a fan of display names, but they don’t really bother me as i don’t have them enabled :p – but this way of listing them on the website is just hopeless. thankfully my list is short; i can only imagine what it’s like for people with a very long list and a non-compatible viewer.

strange you should post this now, btw, i had a dream last night about my list being filled with lots of strange names lol. huge relief when i woke up and remembered i have only a handfull of friends :D

    1. Hi Bee! Yeah, am not a huge fan of display names either, reason why I use it very subtle (only added my nickname in my sl-name) to not confuse ppl ;). But sheesh, when they go using these kinds of fonts/characters..I get lost. I only see it on the website, as I have it disabled inworld!
