Remember a few days ago when I dramatically wrote about the disappearance of the Destination Guide from the Second Life homepage? There was sadness. There were sighs.

Well,  get ready to clutch your pearls (or your HUDs), because… IT’S BACK! 🎉

Yes! Like a phoenix rising from the digital ashes (or a landmark folder magically reappearing after relogging), the Destination Guide has returned to secondlife.com.

Not on the What’s Next page, but in the top bar of the home page of your dashboard!

I don’t know who at Linden Lab heard our cries (or maybe this happened by coincidence and it was planned, but I like to think someone sometimes reads my blogs…), but whoever you are: thank you. Thank you for bringing back one of the most useful and welcoming tools for both newbies and older avatars alike, and of course for those who told me, “Ooh, I didn’t know that existed!”

Whether you’re a new resident still figuring out how to detach a box from your hand or a veteran with a 17-year-old rez date and 428,773 inventory items (don’t judge me), the Destination Guide is your friend. Your tour guide. Your ever-reliable “what now?” button.

Thank you, Destination Guide, for coming back to us. I promise never to take you for granted again. (Okay, almost never.)
