Hotels, Huck, and a Hoot: Three Must-Follow Second Life Bloggers

Remember my post from a few weeks ago about three amazing Second Life bloggers you should follow? Well, it’s time for round two. This time, I am shining the spotlight on two fabulous men and one wonderful woman. All of them must-follows if you love stories, travel, and art in Second Life.

So grab a coffee (or a cocktail, depending on the time of day where you are), and let’s go.

🍿 Huckleberry Hax – What the Huck?

Full disclosure: Huck is my best friend. Which means if I don’t include him here, I’ll have to start paying for my own Second Life vacations, and who in their right mind wants that?

Huck’s blog is a delightful mix of machinima projects (and tips for making your own), poetry, his ongoing book set in Second Life, and his podcast series The Avatar Dining Club Mysteries. Whether you’re into creative writing, video-making, or just want to peek into the mind of a guy who can weave a compelling story out of pixels and prims, Huck delivers.

And if you’ve ever thought, “I could totally make a machinima,” his posts will either inspire you to try… or convince you to sit back with popcorn and just enjoy his instead. Both are valid life choices.

🏖  Dirk Absinthe – The SL Hotel Inspector

If you’ve ever spent an evening scrolling through destinations wondering where to go for your next Second Life getaway, Dirk’s got you covered. His blog is basically TripAdvisor for the grid, but with better photos and way more personality.

He reviews hotels and resorts across Second Life with honest, detailed feedback, so you know exactly what you’re getting before you teleport. And he’s not doing it alone, his co-reporter Sarah Tonin often tags along. Together, they make exploring the luxury side of SL both fun and informative.

Follow Dirk if you love Second Life travel, want to discover gorgeous places you didn’t know existed, or simply enjoy reading about other people’s vacations while you lounge at home in your pyjamas.

🎨 Owl Dragonash – Through Owl’s Eye

Hoot! Yes, that’s how Owl greets the grid, and it fits her perfectly. A multitalented being who’s been part of Second Life since 2007, she embodies the spirit of nature and fantasy all at once: Owl, Faun, Elf, Dragon, and Woman rolled into one endlessly curious avatar.

Her blog Through Owl’s Eye is a must-follow if you want to keep up with the vibrant art scene in Second Life.  From gallery openings to immersive exhibitions, Owl shares tips on where to find it and thoughtful commentary that makes you want to teleport straight into the art yourself.

But Owl is more than just a blogger! She builds dreamscapes, hosts art parties, and is often found dancing under the stars. Everything she does, whether it’s snapping photos or celebrating creativity, adds a little more magic to our world. If you’ve ever thought Second Life was “just shopping and dancing,” Owl’s blog (and her presence) will prove you gloriously wrong.
