Top 3 Blogposts of August: What You Loved, What You Argued About, and What Made You Nostalgic

So we’ve had August. The month when half of Second Life was already knee-deep in autumn leaves, while I was still clinging desperately to my flip-flops. And while I was trying to figure out if my avatar had sunscreen on, you lovely readers were busy clicking, sharing, and (sometimes) arguing over my blog posts. Thank you for showing up, for reading, for debating, and for reminding me why writing these posts is so much fun. Let’s take a look at what tickled your pixels the most!

🥇 1. Velvet Bohème: The Boho Event That Might Bankrupt Me in Style

Apparently, fashion still rules, even when I’m not actually blogging about fashion.  My post about Velvet Bohème was shared on social media more than any previous blog post. Lesson learned: write about events that involve shopping, and the clicks will follow. My wallet, however, may not survive September.

🥈 2. Boomers, Gen X, Millennials & Gen Z: Spotting the Generations in SL

This one hit a nerve or two. Some laughed, some nodded, and others dramatically clutched their pearls while insisting they’ve never said, “kiddo” in 2025. Sorry, but the generational quirks don’t lie. The comments proved one thing: nothing bonds us more than being lovingly called out for our age… or denying it completely.

🥉 3. Eighteen Years in Second Life 🥂✨

A long read, yes, but worth it. This post turned into a nostalgia-fest with congratulations, shared memories, and a lot of “OMG, same!” moments. It turns out reminiscing about 18 years in Second Life is like opening your inventory after a decade: you don’t remember half of it, but it’s oddly comforting to know it’s all still there.

Where You All Came From

  • Facebook – still my number one traffic source, proving that even if the metaverse collapses, we’ll all still be in groups arguing about PBR.
  • X (formerly Twitter) – still hanging on to second place. Elon may be confusing, but you readers are consistent.
  • Primfeed – the real surprise of August. After I jokingly pointed out in my stats post that no one was clicking through from Primfeed… suddenly, you all did! I see you. You read it, you clicked it, and you made me look like a liar. Respect.

So there you have it, August wrapped up in three posts that show exactly what makes Second Life blogging fun: shopping, satire, and sentimental tears. I’m genuinely grateful for every click, comment, and share; it means the world. September, the bar has been set!

Don’t just lurk, comment!
