SL Blogger Support

Now the new year has started, albeit a bit slow because of wine…err…reasons, I would love to start with asking you something important!

As you may have read in my previous blog-post, we have some great plans and ideas for 2017 with our amazing group and of course we cannot do this alone. We need your input and feedback!

The first thing I wish to tackle is : what is the best way to communicate our plans, updates, news etcetera to you?
Of course we have this website, on which we have lots of information already – and which will remain the main source of information, but I am talking about the fast and quick topics like updates on memberships, us asking for your help or input on something, changing of rules/guidelines and updates concerning our website. You name it, the kind of news you do not always need…

A post with news and well…them rules…them rules.. !

SL Blogger Support

It is about time for some updates from the [SL] Blogger Support Team, as we do work behind the scenes to make sure our group is what is should be: a support network to help and guide all SL Bloggers!

To start,  I would like to thank Sunshine (sunshine.zhangsun) so much,  for all the time and efforts she has spend as a very much appreciated team-member. Due to reasons she has decided to step down and leave the Support Team, but she will surely stay as a group member and as such it is not a real goodbye! Big hugs to her!

Resting Resting by Amy Beebe

As the group is still growing, we needed to fill in the gap left by Sunshine and Katya, so I am happy to announce that we found two new team-members: Lainey Thorne and Sasy Scarborough. I am sure you will join me in…

This week  Cain Maven, from Maven Homes, wrote a piece as guest blogger on SL Blogger Support, telling us about the challenges a house-builder and architect has when it comes to finding bloggers.

SL Blogger Support

This weeks guest-blogger, in our new series, is house-builder and Second Life architect Cain Maven.  You will get to know him better in this article he wrote for us. Food for thought, thank you Cain for taking the time in your busy schedule to give us your insights!

I have a confession to make: I haven’t been particularly good at using blogs to promote my Second Life business. In fact, I have sucked at it. Mostly, this is because I have been lazy or inept, but to a certain extent it’s also due to the nature of the beast. Let me explain. I design, build, and sell houses for a living. For historical and business reasons, I maintain two brands: Maven Homes and Quantum Luxury Homes. Most of the Maven Homes models are small to mid-sized, whereas the latter range from medium to Insanely Big. Now, it doesn’t…

Interesting read for all those wondering what Blogger Managers do behind the scenes!

SL Blogger Support

I was approached some weeks ago now to write an article for SL Blogger Support  about the other side of the fence…the life of a blogger manager. As well as being a blogger myself I was also responsible for the blogging team for both MadPea and SwagBag as part of my past role as Marketing  & PR Director for MadPea. I’ve recently decided to move on from there but as blogging is such a love of mine I am sure it will feature in whatever I do next.

slbs_003.pngBlogging in Second Life has changed a great deal over the last 14 years and there are probably more bloggers in SL now than there was at the peak of SL’s popularity in 2006/2007. I’m told that back then it was much more about reviewing an item and that bloggers felt more of a partnership with the creators they blogged for than…

SL Blogger Support

As written in my previous post, tomorrow Friday 24th June at 5PM SLT, both Katya and myself will be joining a panel discussion in The Auditorium at SL13B, to talk about SL Blogger Support and how our amazing group and site has been building a community of bloggers and is serving the general community by doing so.

We would really love to see lots of bloggers in the audience, to participate, of all topics: the fashion bloggers, the explorers, the art-lovers, the creators and designers, the ranters, the technical bloggers….all of you!

Sl13B - Meet SL Blogger Support - Blogpost

Though Katya and I were invited, we really want to make it clear us two are not the only ones behind SL Blogger Support. We have this awesome team with dedicated, enthusiastic members who all do their best to lend a hand and support and who put a lot of effort in keeping this group going.
