Yesterday Strawberry Singh posted on her blog about her Digits, the slider digits of her avatar and asks everyone who likes to share their digits with her. Reason is, she did this last year (pre-mesh – I missed that round) and is curious on how much avatars have adjusted their shape to fit in mesh clothing. Interesting idea and it could help creators of mesh clothes as well.
You can read all about it on Strawberry’s blog.
As for mesh clothing, I usually fit easily in the standardized sizes – S/XS for pants and M for tops) – but have to admit I have to tweak my breast size for some tops (usually adjusting gravity is enough!) and still tops/blouses/shirts are some sort of an issue for my avatar: straps often dissapear in my shoulders and with bikini’s or some tanktops half of the back dissapears into my shoulderblades. My arms are a challenge too: too fat! I do not mind a little tweak, but in order to fit in the average top I would have to change my uppertorso too much, so I cover the ‘sinking’ bits of most tops with long hair..or just do not bother much if something really nice is a bit sunken – as long as it does not annoy me too much!
Strawberry also has 3 questions, which I will answer here in this post!
1) How has the introduction of mesh affected your SL, if at all? Are you open to wearing mesh often or do you still shy away from it?
Mesh clothing turned me into a fashion-addict and shopaholic! I love it, I wear it since the moment it was introduced and nowadays I have a lot of mesh outfits – including mesh feet, hair, nails, lashes and eyes!
2) Have you changed your shape to fit into mesh? If so, did you go bigger or smaller?
See my explanation and experience above the questions :)
3) Do you think the mesh deformer will resolve a lot of the issues people seem to have with mesh and will it encourage you to wear mesh more often, if you don’t already?
I hope it will solve the issue with tops for me, and for others, and I think it will.
