SL17B: Vacations and road trips!


Second Life launched to the public on June 23rd, 2003 and this year we are celebrating SL’s 17th birthday! Because in Second Life, you can explore the (virtual) world from the safety and comfort of your own home, this year’s birthday theme is ‘vacations and road trips’!

As on every Second Life birthday, there are lots of festivities and exhibitions – on 7 sims this year. Also there is the official SL17B Shopping event, no less than 10! sims filled with shops, so you can really shop till you drop in between the parties and exploring!

  • SL17B Open to the Public: 9am SLT June 19th – July 12th, 2020
  • SL17B Shop & Hop Event: June 19th – July 12th, 2020
  • SL17B Music Fest: June 19th – June 20th, 2020
  • Meet the Lindens: June 22nd – June 26th, 2020 – 2pm SLT each day

I’ve had the pleasure of some early exploring yesterday and must say: wow, it looks really cool! I love the theme and how the welcome area gives you a vacation feeling. I also particularly love the Auditorium, in which the “meet the Lindens’ will be held.
