Much to my annoyance I have seen lots of Christmas decorations already, in SL that is. Overhere in my RL, Holland, not so much. It would have been very not done and if one dares to decorate for Christmas before the 5th of December, one will be named and shamed in the neighbourhood! I have a neighbour like that, he already put a tree with Christmas-lights on his drive last week, the whole street is shocked and we collectively ‘tsk’ed‘ a few times!
Anyway, that is real life. If you want to know why we are so sensitive about this whole decoration issue in Holland: 5 December is ‘Saint Nicholas-day’ or as we say ‘Sinterklaas’. A bit like Santa Claus, but slightly different (although the names sounds alike). If you are interested in the who and what about Sinterklaas in Holland, click here for a wiki-page with explanation.
Now to Secondlife! I am not into Christmas yet, see reason above, but it is getting winter! With ice and snow and all, and that is ‘allowed’ eh?
So I went to Winterscenes by Incendia, a lovely winter sim, filled with snow, mountains, skating rinks and hardly any Christmasdecorations (yet). It is spacious and it was very quiet when I went there, very nice to take pictures! You can have a romantic dance or relax in a cabin by the fire…just lovely!

I have never heard of this place. Thank you for the introduction and the chilly scenes. Brrrr ♥
I am laughing at all of them!
