Summer in Second Life is, for me usually ‘the lonely season’ and this year it seems worse than ever. It’s okay, I guess. I’ve gotten used to the sound of an incoming IM and it being from some disappointing group-chat instead of a friend, but hey hoo: my friends will return from their vacations and hiatus soon. I hope.
I’ve spent my alone time replacing my house and decorating. And while I like doing that, it sort of emphasizes the loneliness. All those pretty rooms and furniture, and no one to sit on it, but me.
‘Now no one’s knocked upon my door
For a thousand years or more
All made up and nowhere to go
Welcome to this one man show’
‘Just take a seat they’re always free
No surprise, no mystery
In this theater that I call my soul
I always play the starring role’
Time for a Girls Night Out!
