Stömol backstage, more behind the scenes!

If you follow me, or Stömol movie director Huckleberry Hax, on social media you may have seen the reveal of the official movie poster as well as a new preview video-clip aired on NewWorldNotes earlier this week!

Yes, the premiere is coming close – if all goes well and to plan, the release will take place in July 2020! Huck is currently working his ass off, adding the voices and soundeffects to the scenes, which means all actors are done with their work! Most of them are now enjoying their free time and all they have to worry about is ‘what to wear on the red carpet!’. Which reminds me, I have to go shopping for a smashing outfit too!

As promised I will show you some backstage secrets, luckily I always had my camera with me during filming and in between shoots, and when Huck was not paying attention to me I was entertaining myself with snapshotting the crew and some sets.

In my previous blog I mentioned being a actress in Second Life mostly consists of waiting. Waiting for instructions, waiting for stuff to rezz, waiting for Huck to film and waiting for my fellow cast members to get ready or in position.

Because Stömol is a low budget production, or rather a ‘no budget production’, we had to share one trailer. With the complete cast. We had to cook, clean, and do our make-up and outfits ourselves. Actually, I also had to train myself in handling a gun and take shooting lessons. Which I had to pay for myself. Huck told me this was normal in the movie-world and of course he knows best, right?

It took me a few months to get the weapon handling right and I may have accidentally set my colleagues on fire. Including a set. An unfortunate minor incident and nobody got really hurt. Well nothing serious anyway!

What I am doing now, after a year of filming? I have created the official movie-poster, by Huck’s concept and design and want to thank the main cast-members for their time to pose for me! Furthermore I am doing the social media for Stömol (follow us on Facebook for news and updates) and last week I finished recording my lines, for Huck to add to the scenes. This voice-acting was a whole new experience, I will blog about that in another post!

Be sure to keep an eye on Huck’s website, the official STÖMOL website and of course our social media: Stömol on Facebook, Huck on twitter, Caitlin on Twitter!
