‘Tulips from Amsterdam’

When it’s Spring again I’ll bring again
Tulips from Amsterdam
With a heart thats true I’ll give to you
Tulips from Amsterdam
I can’t wait until the day you fill
These eager arms of mine
Like the windmill keeps on turning
That’s how my heart keeps on yearning
For the day I know we can share these
Tulips from Amsterdam

(Tulips from Amsterdam – Max Bygraves)

When I got the notice from Gizza last night, that they have released the National Gowns they designed for the Miss Virtual World 2012 contest, I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was one for Miss Netherlands!
And what a dress it is! Gizza’s designer was obviously inspired by the song I quoted above, a worldfamous tune. Well, worldfamous in The Netherlands anyway – but then in Dutch. Ah details!

Anyway, the National Gown for The Netherlands is…..gorgeous and extravagant. Not a dress to wear to a dinnerparty perhaps, but I love it!
