This morning I finally found my way to the Cathedral on Chouchou, thanks to Sy who went exploring and was obviously more patient in finding out the teleporters! The groundlevel of Chouchou is photogenic as well, but the Cathedral in the sky is amazing! You can pick up a free cinematic HUD, which really enhances…

Solaria
This evening I ended up in a lovely Italian town, Solaria. It’s with good reason this beautiful place is listed in the Destination Guide under: photogenic spots! It is the perfect location to play with shadows and windlightsettings, but mostly it is just a very lovely place with lots of amazing details! You can sit…
LEA20 – Oberon Onmura’s “Wave Fields”
Being all drugged up in a final attempt to win the battle against my flu, I went to visit the “Wave Fields” by Oberon Onmura on one of the LEA sims. The description by the artist: ‘an ever-changing landscape of cubes that create undulating waves of visual movement as they form, activate, and disintegrate’, pretty…
Kuru Kuru World – by Mikati Slade
Boxing Day and I woke up this morning , exploring an amazing art installation on MiC – Kuru Kuru World by Mikati Slade. As the short decription says: a future Pop Art Exhibition. It is bright, it is pink, it moves and it is absolutely worth a visit! I have used the advised windlightsetting [TOR]…
Underneath my skirt
Since mesh got implemented this week, I am all excited and have tried on as much as I could afford. Oh yes, it is sure another excuse for some shopping trips! Anyway, what is good to know: mesh cannot be edited/modified. Basically you wear a mesh-prim, which has to come with an alphalayer to make…
My first mesh-outfit!
Yeah, I is back! After an intensive week in the UK – playing with some new software, trying to break it, which I did – I flew back into the Flatlands last night. Amazing they manage to delay a 45 mins flight with one hour on a Saturday afternoon, but okay! So, my first mission…
Gotta love n00bs!
This weekend was total chaos in ImperiuM Island! It sort of started Friday evening, when we were having some groupfights and had a n00b or 3-5 running around and standing in appearance-mode in the middle of the combat zone (heh). It happens, we thought, and continued our fights around them, occasionally kicking one in the…
Back home!
After some nice days in the UK I got back in Holland tonight. And when logging in: a viewer update to 2.8. Am fiddling now with the new profile and the feeds, it’s like having a twitter in your inworldprofile, exciting! Also, the environmental settings are different I noticed! Will go play with the new…
Fotoscope
If you like to take pictures in Second Life, but do not have your own land, studio or an inventory filled with poses and props…then you really should visit Fotoscope! It is a sim filled with all kind of poses and scenes, set-ups for group-photo’s, landscapes, danceballs and a variety of backgrounds all over the…
Viewer update: that went well!
When logging in today, I got the message for a Viewer update. Not having anything urgent to do, I gave it a go. When I came online, all I saw was some prims I was wearing and my avatar was missing. As in gone. Not visible! Heh! What a shame, because I think the last…
HuMaNoid
After having seen pictures made on this sim on several blogs and Flickr…I had to go see this wonderful, photogenic (M)place myself! HuMaNoid – Wendy’s dream (by Wendy Xeno) is perfect for playing with the realtime shadows and trying out several windlightsettings. The ground level is amazing enough, but make sure you try all the…
Hair Fair 2011 : The Watermelon and The Ants…
Last night, after some nice spars with Ratt and chats with Miko I decided to give it another go at the Hair Fair, hoping it would be a bit less crowded. Well no it was not…haha! Without seeing any hair – I rubberbanded all over the sims – I ended up on a huge picnicblanket…
SL8B – Astonish & Captivate (press preview)
This morning I visited two sims on SL8B (as it is open to builders and press!); Astonish and Captivate. Lovely builds, some bizarre, others cute! I played a bit with the realtime shadows (in Viewer 2.7) and some windlightsettings, SL8B is perfect for taking pics!
Liberty Cove
Liberty Cove is an amazing piece of art, created by Sextan Shepherd (developer of the former “Nemo” sim) and worth a visit, if you like mechanical wonders :). I used Torley’s Sci Fi Non-generic Fantasy Windlight settings for these pictures and took the time to admire the creations!
Anna’s Many Murders – by Bryn Oh
Anna’s Many Murders (G) is a typical Bryn Oh work; lovely and amazing. Mysterious and wonderfully detailed! Upon arrival you get offered a notecard with preferred windlightsetting, for the complete experience. I took the time, about 5 minutes, to set this up and then went off exploring. It’s the story of Anna…but hey…..go there yourself…
Never complete…
Since I got my new skin last week, I keep tweaking Caity and adding/trying new stuff. I think I am finally satisfied with the new look – although I cannot promise I won’t change my mind at some point! Because I am in Viewer 2, I am able to wear multiple layers and so I…
