‘Loss’ is the title of the exhibition at Berg by Nordan Art, a series of images by Senna Coronet (Sennaspirit.Coronet). Opened this weekend and running till September.

As the title says, it is about loss and as such a very personal, therapeutic, way of Senna of dealing with the passing of his friend Amona Savira earlier this year. I’ve never met Amona, but have always admired her work on Flickr, where you can still see her amazing art.

Loss is a lovely and tasteful tribute, Amona is present all of the exhibition, in a sad, but not at all depressing, way. As it goes with exhibitions like this, you really need to go an visit it for yourself – my pictures (of pictures) will most certainly not do it justice!

More about Senna and Berg by Nordan Art you can read either in the note cards that are available at the gallery or for more in depth and an interview with Senna by Kate Bergdorf, read Kate’s blogposts.

The end-party of the Fantasy Faire, a gathering of all Fairefolk and party-peeps from allover the grid, did not happen this year.
It was not held on The Rose – which finally came to bloom and was filled with roses – and certainly not in the pool.
Some 78+ or more people did not dance and there was no fun. Nope. Nothing. Happened.

And no, I did not film anything. Nada.

….an angry god caused a huge flood. The giant wave destroyed civilizations, extinguished mythical creatures, and washed off all colour on the surface of the earth….

And so begins the story of Opal Flight, the place for Art and Entertainment on the Fairelands, created by Haveit Neox and Lillia Artis. (read this interview with these great builders, for the rest of the story!)

Fantasy Faire 2017 - Opal flight - I - BlogpostII

Opal Flight is that place you go to and dive underwater to enjoy the art, the fish and the colours.  A perfect spot to unwind after exploring and/or partying or, as in my case today,  to just float about a bit, while drinking strong coffee when waking up!

A video I made this morning:

I love Opal Flight, it is very much Haveit Neox and Lilia Artis, and I was happy to discover this sim last week – it reminded me of last year’s Sapphire Mirror Lake which I enjoyed a lot and there is nothing wrong with the feeling of ‘coming home to the Fairelands’.

My video from last year, still one of my personal favourites:

In case you think you need to hurry, as today is the last day of the Fantasy Faire: fear not, here is a surprise!

Even though our planned programming is ending with a six hour closing party on Monday, May 1 from 1-7pm SLT, there is no reason to be sad because we have the Fairelands to roam around until THURSDAY the 4th of May!

As long as the Fairelands are here, the quest is playable and shopping and exploring encouraged!

Event times and places

Silent Auction ends on Monday, 3 PM SLT

Live Auction on Sunday, 2 – 4 PM SLT in Opal Flight

I’ve spent most of this evening on Devin. Not one, but two amazing sims with nature, wildlife, deserts, sandstorms and probably a lot more! A place to return to and enjoy, alone or with friends. Or even a date, as there are some really lovely spots with couple dances. The music stream is Slow Radio, which is great for exploring, chilling or dancing.

Devin I and II are owned by Roy Mildor, Ally Daysleeper and Alienmaus Allen and the rating is M.

You really want to go there, again…and again. I know I do!

After my last blog-post about Corruption, being an adult club, I logged in yesterday to find an invitation sent by Ellyn (mellyn.llewellyn), to come visit the The Cyprian Garden , which she has landscaped and which is owned by Dorian Meredith.

When I first read the description I was, once again, a bit hesitant if it would be suitable for my blog, as The Cyprian Garden is not only an Adult location, but caters to BDSM. No membership needed though, so a garden open to everybody who has permission to visit Adult rated content and is aware one can run into sex or nudity.

..and I needed some nice music to listen to, as I wasn’t really in the mood for exploring (despite having a list of locations to check out!).
@ GOL

I decided to go over to GOL 9th, probably one of the most popular clubs in SL when it comes to house, trance, hip hop etc. Always crowded, although most of the club-goers stand at the side, watching the dance-floor. And each other I assume! Anyway, so I danced and enjoyed the music and while I was at it I checked their website (music alert, turn off headset before you click!), because last week on their official Facebook Page the owner of GOL announced the final closure of the the club and said she was going to focus on building and designing. Yesterday a last status update even said the club would close at 10PM SLT….
But, that deadline has passed…the club  is still there and I could not find any updates on a short term closure, in fact I got happily invited to their group by the Hostess, and on the Facebook page the DJ’s are still announced.

I guess we will have to wait and see, so do not shoot me if the club is suddenly gone!

GOL - Entrance

After checking all this, I zoomed around to see the environment and was pleasantly surprised about the view. Not much landscaping/decoration, I think they need all sim resources for the club, but nevertheless a great opportunity to take some pictures of the impressive club-building and play with windlights.

It is Thursday again and so I went on my Tour. This week not locations I have blogged about before, but I choose 3 places from the Destionation Guide, the winter attractions, and decided to go check them out. It is the season after all, or so I have heard!

My first visit was to Nordan Om Jorden, a quiet and peaceful sim in winter theme but not so much Christmas, which I like very much for its wide views and photogenic environment.

Then I teleported to Galas Galadhon’s Noel, wich is totally decorated for Christmas with light in the trees and you can take a (romantic) sleighride or dance next to the frozen pond.

My last travel was to Winter Things. A place with a lot. Really a lot, maybe a tad too much for my taste but I am blogging it anyway because: Castle! How gorgeous is that!

Happy touring!
