* Frisland * – A preview

Last night I was delighted to receive an invitation to visit a brand new location *Frisland*, a project by Charlie Namiboo, Anna Barzane and Frislanda Ferraris, which will soon be opened to the public, but is now open for preview for bloggers/photographers.

Frisland - I

The invitation came with a notecard, with some background on the how and what about *Frisland*:

‘…A few weeks ago Frislanda did a search on Google about the origin of his name and found an article about a phantom island called “Frisland” in the North Atlantic. He just asked us what we would think of creating a region in Second Life based upon the idea of that phantom island.  We were all for it! And so we started the project with the working title “Frisland’s rebirth” …

Now our baby is born and the work on the sim is finished. YAY! Next Sunday (31st of March) we will open the sim to public..’

Frisland - III

Needless to say I could not wait to get over there and have a look, a sim designed by three photography-enthusiasts must be good, right?
And I think it is! I spend quite some time wandering around, following the country road and on my way stopping to discover nice details and enjoying the view. Although it is not ‘stuffed’ and there is lots of space for rural field and farms, it is most certainly not an empty place. Less is more, eh!

Frisland - IV

I find it impossible to cover all details and aspects, as there are many, many gorgeous spots, so my pictures are just a few….I am sure this place will become popular with those who love taking pictures, but also for those who enjoy elegant landscaping, rural environments an walking around! I, for one, know I will go back for more….and more :)

Also, mentioned in the notecard, if you wish preview access – just send an IM to Charlie, Anna or Frislanda!
